We believe we all have a responsibility to educate today’s youth about the importance of making healthy and safe decisions when behind the wheel. Rue & Ziffra has teamed up with Gary Yeoman’s Ford on the Text Free Zone. The Text Free Zone is a simulator that any teen and adult can use to show them the virtual dangers of texting while driving. What is the “Text Free Zone Simulator”? The simulator is a state-of-the-art trainer to demonstrate the hazards of texting and driving by putting the teen in those situations.

• 11 teen drivers die each week as the result of texting while driving
• Almost 50% of all drivers between the ages of 18 and 24 are texting while driving
• Over 60% of American teens admit to risky driving, and nearly half of those who admit to risky driving also admit to text messaging behind the wheel.
• Over 1/3 of drivers (37%) have sent or received text messages while driving, and 18% said they do it regularly.
