Around 16,000 road accidents occur every single day on American soil. While roughly 40,000 will lose their lives over the course of a year, the vast majority of incidents involved minor injuries and damage to vehicles. Nevertheless, it’s never a nice experience, even if cars are the only thing to suffer major damage.
According to an FHP report, Raymond Almodovar of Ormond Beach, died after he veered off the highway and his car struck a guardrail, spun back into oncoming traffic, and was T-boned by a northbound Jeep Wrangler. Highway Patrol officials say the driver of the Wrangler got out and assessed the damage before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the crash. Almodovar died at the scene.
